Sweet Chubby Birdie Birthday Cupcakes
I was so excited to be asked to create Emma's 2nd birthday cupcakes. I had the joy of creating her 1st birthday cupcakes..so was very nice to get the chance again.
This years theme was sweet little birdies. I used the invite to play off of the colors and other elements I wanted to incorporate into the decorations.
I created some pink & blue birdies..and I decided a flower on each would add a girly touch:)
These sweet birdies sat atop a "Orange Creamsicle" ,"Bananas about Caramel" & "White Chocolate Raspberry cupcakes....
Definitely some yummy cupcakes!
Here they are all neatly boxed and ready to be eaten by a little birthday girl:)
I also incorporated Emma's initial "E" as well as the #2...and some fun girly flowers all in keeping with the birthday invitation.
Thanks for stopping by to check out my sweet and delicious creations!

Special Shared Birthday cupcakes
I was so excited to get the chance to create some very fun birthday cupcakes for today. Not only was it for one birthday but two! A very special birthday in fact as Tayla and Trey share the same day..no not twins just by chance have the same birthday:)
So for the flavors I was asked to create some amazing flavors:
Red Velvet, Maple Bacon, Snickerdoodle, Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough & for the birthday boy and girl's special cupcake...Jumbo vanilla cupcake with cream cheese
So to add some flare, I went with some boyish Spider Man fondant decorations and bright girly flowers.
I also got to create some individual jumbo cupcakes for the kiddo's
For Trey I created a blue frosted swirl with an orange fondant scalloped circle with bright sprinkle balls around it for a punch of color
For Tayla I created a pink rose swirl of frosting with a teal blue leaf
I had a blast creating this wonderful and fun order and really hope they enjoy their birthday cupcakes!

Spring flower Birthday cake
I was very excited when a good friend of mine asked me to create a birthday cake for her daughter. They asked me to re create a cake I did awhile ago with all the bright colored flowers on a ruffle patterned cake.
To make this one a little different I filled the entire top surface with different brightly colored fondant flowers. I also added a special banner for the birthday girl
The best part about the cake is the 5 layers of moist decadent chocolate cake with rich chocolate buttercream..all decorated in a ruffle piped pattern
This is probably one of my favorite cake designs to create and I love the chance to go wild with these fun bright colors!

Delicious Cupcake Trio :)
I had the pleasure of creative freedom to create some cupcakes for a local high school, their dance team was having a fundraiser event. I was asked to create cupcakes as part of each table's centerpiece. I was told to create whatever flavor of cupcake I wanted. So I decided to go with these three:)
So here they are;)~ Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough, Banana Split & Red Velvet Revisited~
The "Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough" was a delicious brown sugar cake filled with semi sweet chocolate chips. Then filled with a chocolate chip cookie dough(the edible kind) topped with a semi sweet chocolate ganache, then finished with a sweet brown sugar buttercream. If that all wasn't enough then it was topped with a mini chocolate chip cookie...yummo!
Next (one of my personal favs) "Banana Split" A banana cake filled with fresh strawberries and pineapple then topped with a light and fluffy vanilla buttercream, topped with chocolate gananche and...a cherry of course!
Lastly, I decided to add in a classic...well my spin on it:) "Red Velvet Revisited"
A moist rich red velvet cake topped with a layer of white chocolate ganache to then be followed by a sweet swirl of white chocolate cream cheese..oh yeah some serious deliciousness right here!
I had a blast being able to pick and choose my flavors for this event and even adding a little spin on some classics:)

"Monkey themed 1st Birthday"
I was so excited when I was asked by some dear friends of my hubby and I to create their son's 1st birthday smash cake. The theme for the party was "Monkeys" and well they gave me a few creative guidelines but let me kind of run wild. So I went to town!
I created a 6" round vanilla cake with layers of raspberry buttercream. The outside was frosted in cream cheese. I used fondant to create the circles for the side of the cake. For the Monkey he was made of fondant and gumpaste. Everything on this cake except the stick in the monkey for support was edible. Although we did pull off most of the fondant before he smashed into it:)
I also brought some amazingly tasty cupcakes "Banana Cream Pie" (my hubby's new favorite..for now) I thought it fit perfectly with the theme and just to make sure..I added some fondant bananas to each one!
These cupcakes are banana cake filled with my own banana pastry cream topped with crushed Nilla wafers and topped with sweet vanilla whipped cream frosting. Then of course another or two Nilla wafer cookie

"Groovy" cupcakes
I had such a fun time creating these "Groovy" cupcakes for a very special 40th birthday party.
I was asked to create cupcakes with peace signs, flower power all in bright colors. I also added the birthday girls initial "C" for a custom touch.
These were the ever so tasty and sweet "Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough" cupcakes.
A brown sugar cupcake baked full of chocolate chips. In the middle..yep cookie dough(the edible kind) then it was topped with a sweet chocolate gananche, followed by my favorite frosting ...brown sugar buttercream. It literally tastes like the cookie dough itself. And if that wasn't enough..yep a chocolate chip cookie on top!
Then of course all the pretty little decorations to adorn each one.
The next scrumptious cupcake was my most popular on my menu "Snickerdoodle"
A cinnamon cake topped with a brown sugar and cinnamon cream cheese frosting, followed by..oh yah..a snickerdoodle cookie and then more frosting..whew..
Oh and then some white chocolate peace signs colored with edible glitter dust.
Lastly a nice flavor selection to balance it all out. "Lemon Raspberry", yet another favorite of mine ( but then again I love them all)
A light fluffy lemon cake topped with a pureed raspberry buttercream (no pink dye here all from the fresh raspberries)
Then I had a blast adding the bright flowers to each one. Really love how these pop with all this flower power!
I had a BLAST getting to play with such a fun theme and colors..

"Pea Pod" cupcakes
So I had the joy of being asked to create some very sweet and fun cupcakes for a baby shower earlier this month. I was sent an inspiration picture of some cupcakes with a sweet little pea pod resting on each cupcake. I made the pea pods out of fondant and gumpaste ahead of time and let them dry. Once they were dry I added some green edible glitter dust to give each one a nice shimmer..and well because I cannot resist sparkle!
Here are the Pea Pods all ready for their pillow of frosting to rest on.
The cupcakes I made for these sweet pods were rich chocolate cake topped with a shiny layer of chocolate ganache then topped with a sweet white chocolate cream cheese frosting. They were quite tasty( of course I must sample my creations)
I was so pleased how they turned out, and well the reviews from my customer were that they were a big hit!
